I'm a visual storyteller and love creating narratives through photographs -- about people, moments, businesses, the creative process -- everything really. There's always a story.
My focus is fashion reportage, photojournalism, portrait, and lifestyle photography. My personal work has focused on street photography. I love the hunt for the moment, the delight of the unexpected, and the tableau of the everyday.
I'm a self-taught photographer and former lawyer. I've also freelanced as a writer for several New York newspapers.
The 2011 exhibit Dinner at New York's Umbrella Arts was my first group exhibit and I have photographed seven seasons of New York Fashion Week shows, both backstage and runway.
Some of my favorite photographers are Garry Winogrand, Lee Friedlander, Walker Evans, Saul Leiter, William Eggleston, Berenice Abbott, Martin Parr, Joel Meyerowitz, Robert Frank, Mary Ellen Mark, Bruce Davidson, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Alfred Eisenstaedt, and Robert Doisneau.
I live in New York City with my husband and two daughters.
